Scope of this Standard
Gives the minimum colour coding and labelling requirements for the identification of the contents of piping, pipelines, ducts and conduits. The methods of identification used in this standard are as follows: (a) marking and labelling; (b) basic identification colours only; (c) basic identification colours and code indications; and (d) basic identification colours used in conjunction with the user's colour coding scheme.
